So, to the right you will see three pictures, if you want to see more click on them for a larger image. The first two are of what Mulg will be planting his big calloused feet upon and the last is part of the man whom he will be holding in his hand. The Wreck Marker is a Khador Heavy Warjack wreck marker, which is a juggernaut obviously, and is being painted in the colors of the Unbreakable 111th. I paint and do stuff in spurts between several projects (thanks ADD) so this is where it stands at the moment. the white is a 3 stage process I call "Dirty White" and is something I enjoy using as it gives the white depth and shadow without the heavy or harsh shadows that you get from using a really dark wash. The way it works, basically, is that you prime grey, paint the whole thing white to get a base, wash with a sepia, then dry brush back up to a white. The sepia gives you a nice depth without giving you super hard shadows like ink lining or washing with Black then doing the same thing will. We also have Strakhov here, or at least part of him. I may substitute legs from a plastic mini to make it look more realistic for Mulg holding him in his hands as Strakhov has a rather wide stance. Essentially what has been done to him is that his torso has been removed in line with his shoulders, his left arm has been removed where the shoulder pad meets the torso to allow his arm to be turned 90 degrees to give him a more natural pose while being manhandled. |
Until next time -
