Well, its almost the new year an I just kinda wanted to ogo over what we have accomplished here at Gamers Pair - O - Dice in our short little lifespan this year. some of it goes back to last year. well, the Tyranids do, they began as a side project and GPOD sort of just inherited them as time went on. Earlier this year though the first major step was made before GPOD existed.

Hi everyone, Today isnt so much a blog so much as it is an excuse to see some impressive Christmas mods. I want able to find any for Warmachine, but there is a ton for Warhammer 40K out there. I hope you enjoy them and I hope that everyone out there has a great Christmas and a wonderful and happy new year. Today, I have finally finished the Tyranid army. It is a wonderful beautiful day. I am wondering if that is why the Myan Long Count Calendar ended today, I mean the nids are done, this must be the Apocalypse. I am digressing though. I am gald to finally have the Tyranid army finished. If you want to take a look just click here. I am very proud of this army. It is full of custom base work and there are a few small minor nods that were done to some of the guys in the army. I think overall it has a good and unique look I dont see on the table that often for Tyranids. So, with the holiday season in full swing I am out here "pimping" a good cause. The cause if Foodmachine. This is something I am happy to see being done. I know that not everyone has had to rely on food banks or any other assistance programs, but I know that I have once in my life at least and I also know what it is like to not be able to put food on the table for my family. I have been there and I know I don't ever want to go back. So, not much of a blog entry, more of an update. I am still rolling along on the Tyranid Army which has taken far too long to complete. about 15 more Genestealers and I should have a group shot for everyone. of course, alot of custom made bases and green or greystuff work depending on which series of bases. I just thought I would give a quick update though that way everyone can see one of the newest finished guys, the Lictor, you can see more of him here. I would also have a picture of a Hive Tyrant, except for the fact that he is bigger then my light box setup and I will likely take pictures of him tomorrow as well as some of the custom bases. i also wanted to let everyone know that from time to time you might see some content from me over on Spikey Bits. Its owned by a great guy from Richmond and he has a wonderful store down there. Very 40K oriented though you can come in some weekends and find things like BattleTech or maybe a game of Warmachine and of course there is always Magic. Till next time - CJ So, I have finished the Widowmakers for the Unbreakable 111th. I am decently happy with them. You can find their pictures on the page for the Unbreakable 111th here. As far as painting them, they aren't a very hard "build" as it were. One piece, everything is pretty easy to get to, and they don't have any glaring deficiencies. I hope everyone likes them and that they might even inspire someone. Later - CJ So, I didnt get to phtograph it properly, I also wasn't sure if I should post it, but it is here. This is a Khadoran army I did after buying a large lot (Which makes up the bulk of the 5th Border Legion). After considering it, it is up. If you want to take a look just click on the picture and you will go to the portfolio for this unit. CJ Yes, I started the blog with a Meme....... why not. This is really just a way for me to introduce us and our blog. We have been thinking about getting serious about a few different things. Resin casting, terrain building, comission painting, opening a store one day. Well, we had to start somewhere and here we are. I know I have a lot of stuff to fill in in the site, including some of the portfolio sections. Hopefully soon we will have that all done and an actual suite number (ie ups store box) where we can do business outside of the local area. However this turns out, I am sure it will be part of one of life's great adventures. |
