Good evening everyone. So, recently we have had some new arrivals here at the Gamer's Pair O Dice studio. They are the Bounty Hunter retinue plus a Falconer, also part of his retinue, being painted to be used at Historicon 2017 and to be auctioned off soon after with the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society, a Yu Huang I'm painting in exchange for some missile launcher pods from someone who went on a bits run to Ironwind Metals, and a lance of 'Mechs for a long time client. You will be getting better pictures and regular updates on all three as I work on them. Also, We are moving. Due to recent life events the studio will be leaving historic Fredericksburg and moving to somewhat historic Caroline County, famous for being the place John Wilkes Booth got killed and for being the place where one of the first interracial married couples were persecuted. Above is the cauldron born from the bounty hunter set, below the read more line you will find the rest of the pictures of the new arrivals. Until next time - CJ
Hey everyone, just wanted to update you on our pricing. Gamer's Pair O Dice now has its pricing broken down a little better on our Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/GamersPOD/
We hope this new pricing structure helps our customers get what they need for a fair price. CJ Hey everyone, so I have done a recent comission job for a friend of mine of two ARC-170s for the X-Wing miniatures game. They were touch up jobs of the cockpits and the guns and engines. While FFG has done an amazing job with these minis I feel they keep taking the easy route when it comes to the metallic parts in X-Wing with a very dark grey. That is just my opinion though. With no further delay I introduce Will's ARC-170 fighters. Hey everyone, now that there is a painting area I have been able to start working again. Ive started working on the following: 2 scattergunners a knockoff Indiana Jones from Reaper slight touch ups on thr following xwing minis 4 xwings 2 a wings 2 y wings 1 b wing and a spider battlemech so enjoy the pics Till next time CJ Hey everyone, until I have internet re-established I will have yo do mobile updates. I have most of my paints and have started work on the scattergunners.
Until next time, CJ Hi everyone. Lately, thanks to my local gaming group, I have been getting into the X Wing Miniatures Game. If you have been living under a rock, this game is a pre-painted tabletop miniatures game that uses a system called the "flight path system" and comes with an easy to learn and easy to use rules set. In fact, you can learn to play the game online through a youtube video. Anyway, I digress.... the models are beautifully done for being pre-paints.. the only thing though that I have seen which kind of disappointed me was the engine on the Millennium Falcon.... So, I decided to paint it with a very simple, but effective, quick glow technique... if you woud lliek to see how to do this hit Read More. Hey everyone, I just wanted to give you a quick update on the Trolls in the office. The Blitzer and the Warders are finally finished. I have a few thoughts on them. The metal Blitzer is a beautiful model but seems to also suffer from being too detailed and over designed in its metal form. The plastic is superior in this. Personally I would recommend seeing if you can find the plastic gunner and gun to mount on top of a Metal Blitzer if you ever get the chance. Anyway... there are pics to see after you hit read more.
Till next time - CJ Hey everyone, I am just posting an update on the troll Blitzer and the Warders we have here. The Blitzer is almost done, just a few finishing touches needed. The warders have a good amount done and only really need to have their weapon arms, heads, and shields painted. They have already been tartaned which is the hardest art imho. On the Blitzer I have also found that the Gatling Gun doesnt seem to want to stay mounted to the mount assembley so it looks like there might be some pinning done to it tomorrow morning before the final touches are done. I have included some pics below
