Carrie "C.J." Shumar
I am the wearer of many hats here. I started playing war games when I was about 15 years old. I started with BattleTech. When I got a hold of my first models I painted them in Testors enamels paints and then discovered acrylics. Since then I have had 25 years of discovery in painting from learning what washes were to being able to highlight and shade and do jeweling.
I never liked putting a model on the table that want painted, over time as I picked up more miniature intensive games I guess you could say I became anal retentive about it and still refuse to run unpainted models on the tabletop. When I got into Warmachine I became unemployed and there were other players who had to have their models painted and some who just run bare metal armies. So out of necessity I started offering to paint for money. Since then I have painted a large number of pieces and plan on upgrading the gallery soon.
Currently as far as tabletop games I play BattleTech, Blood Red Skies, A Song of Ice and Fire, Konflikt 47, and Napoleonics.
