So, just hit the Read More button below to be able to see my opinion of these new models for the Motherland
So, the Greylord Outriders are actually a very interesting unit in the toolbox for Khador. While I love the models, especially in my Karchev Tier 4 list, I feel the models are a mixed bag of amazing sculpts with somewhat underwhelming sculpts. First I want to cover the greatness that is the Greylords themselves. These white metal miniatures are wonderfully detailed and go together easily. I do like that they are, for the most part, in dynamic poses. They went together quickly and easily and I would recommend them and this kit overall to even a new player. Next though is the underwhelming part. The horses. These are the same horses which can be found in the Tempest Blazers gun mage cavalry unit. at first I believed this would be a good thing as it would allow the models to be built to a sort of "omni horse" which would mean that the models should have a good fit to the horses and it would speed up the development time of certain light cav units. I found though that the Outriders barely fit on the horses and they have gap issues between them and thier mounts. Overall I believe these are good models, if the fit to the horses was better I would be willing to say they were great.... I think though they are a solid addition to anyone's Khador collection.
