In the picture to the right you can see an example of the kit in all three of its builds, courtesy Ebay, and I'm sure somewhere before PP. In the Spriggan and Dev it is true to the artwork and also the the older models in a way. Where I draw some issue is int he aesthetics in the switch over from metal to plastic as well as the relative scale of certain things. The aesthetic to me breaks down once I compare it to the older Dev. The next picture will give you an idea of the dorsal view of the 2... The Dev has more of a Bowling Ball of Death look to it. The shield arms seem thicker and more robust (as well as having an outward curve to them) and the forward armor is more pronounced and gives it an almost predatory look. the forward armor on the new version of this beast gives it a profile and look that it is looking down at its own feet and takes it from the look of a predatory steel monster to a sullen child going back to his room. Now for the brass tacks section of this. |
I would reccomend it to a player who has gotten the grasp of the game firmly as, if magnetized, it gives you that jack that can kill some nasty stuff as the Spriggan, or if your facing off against a horde of high Def low arm infantry the Dev can bowling ball in and wipe out a bunch, or with Harkevich, the Demolisher can do a similar trick, just without the worry of being exposed once his trick is pulled off allowing him to tar pit those valuable infantry units and slowly attrition them to death.
Until next time -
