So go ahead and hit "read more" to get the nitty-gritty on this guy
So, the Battle Mechanic Officer is one of the models I am suprised I havent picked up before with my penchant for running a Karchev Tier 4 Iron Curtian list. Since I have though I just wanted to go over the model itself. The model goes together very straightforward with 2 arms and shoulder pads, a leg section, a front torso, a rear boiler section, and a wrench and prybar which mount on the back. The mounting of the boiler section to the main torso can cause some grief as the parts line up but aren't a very good fit leaving a sizable gap at the top and bottom on the shoulder line and on the sides of the model. The torso to leg fit and arms to torso fit is superb as well as the fit of the tools to the boiler section. The shoulder pads can be a bit finicky but will go on fine. I woudl advise that due to the sheer amount of detail on the model that the arms are painted seperately from the main model and attatched after the model is painted. if you want a cleaner or better fit on the models 2 torso parts you can either shave the 2 parts down to a perfect fit, which I think will still leave a gap anyway, or you can simply use some greenstuff to fill the gap on the upper section as this is the most noticable, if you want it absolutely perfect you can also hit the lower section as well to make the model as seamless as possible. I hope I have helped and you enjoy the pics. Until next time - CJ P.S. - Look for some trollblood updates this Tuesday or Wednesday.... | Click on image for larger images |
