Regularly I run Man O War and Warjack heavy using Bombardiers to arc shots over the Shocktroopers creating a sort of wall of attrition through armor and AOEs just going willy nilly all over. I think though that the Outriders bring some much needed finesse and speed to Karchev's tier and I wanted to go into some detail with you all on that. just hit Read more below to see what I am talking about.
Over on the right you can see the list and you might already have an idea where I am going with this. Pretty much the way I envision the list working is that the MoW units act as a mobile roadblock in the front rank with the Ternion and Lords acting as a wave two that can shoot at the MoW and probably not hurt them while hitting the guys they are in melee with. The Kodiaks would hold the MoW flanks as Anchors and if they get stuck in just use Vent Steam. the Kolduns can add their sprays to the fun or they can simply throw focus around as needed. | System: Warmachine Faction: Karchev - Iron Curtain Casters: 1/1 Points: 50/50 Tiers: 4 Karchev the Terrible (*5pts) * Behemoth (12pts) * Kodiak (7pts) * Kodiak (7pts) Greylord Outriders (Leader and 4 Grunts) (9pts) Greylord Ternion (Leader and 2 Grunts) (4pts) Man-o-war Shocktroopers (Leader and 2 Grunts) (6pts) Man-o-war Shocktroopers (Leader and 2 Grunts) (6pts) Koldun Lord (2pts) Koldun Lord (2pts) |
The Outriders would be the wildcard for my opponent as they would allow me to have a fast flanking unit that can hit infantry that are pinned in pace by my MoW wall or to keep harassers from getting into the rear to get at Karchev.
So, let me know what you think.
Till next time -
